Jesse Friedman shares what led him to a career in law, important factors to consider during the law school application process, and upcoming trends and fields aspiring law students should look out for.
Friedman claims that he always knew he wanted to be a lawyer from a young age. His career choice was further cemented by his “fond memories of visiting [his] grandmother, who was a Family Court Judge in New York City.”
As Friedman recalled his journey as a law student, he said that “everybody is different, but there is no substitute for street smarts and real-world experience.” Students looking for suitable work experience for law school should take note of this.
Since AI is making splashes in many industries, Friedman also talked about AI’s role in law. He urges students to “think about Artificial Intelligence and becoming an expert in processes. The field of law is adapting to new technologies and being literate is the quickest way to become useful to others.”
